Economic

In the Golden Age of Islam, merchants would participate in trades all across Europe, parts of Asia, and North Africa. They began to travel by boat, which meant more goods could be brought back, and it would cost less time.

Intellectual

The House of Wisdom was founded by Al-ma'mun in Baghdad. Iraq was also built as a library, translation institute, and research center for Islam scholars. Its main function was translating great amounts of literature, knowledge, and other important information into Arabic.

Political

The Golden Age was a time when knowledge and trade flourished, and it was also the beginning of caliphs (The chief Muslim religious and civil ruler). As they grew in power, their religion spread to all kinds of places, including West Africa, Egypt, and Spain.

Social

The people living in Islam during the Golden Age were very sociable and friendly to the other countries nearby. One way they did this was through their medical practices, and some countries began to rely a lot on Islamic medical studies. Many hospitals were built in Islam during this time.
